INDUSTRIAL PARTNERS

In this section we report a list of the "industrial partnerships" relevant for the CYBERLEGs project. With the term Industrial Partner the CYBERLEGs Consortium refers to those companies which provided the Consortium with fundamental enabling technologies, as well as design methodologies and tools, and - mostly relevant - professional (free) support to the CYBERLEGs team in engineering the ortho-prosthesis.

national
The first important industrial partner of CYBERLEGs is National Instruments, world-wide leading company (based in Austin, Texas, US) in the production of automated test equipment and virtual instrumentation software for data acquisition, instrument control and machine vision.

CYBERLEGs alpha prototype is powered by National Instruments software and hardware tools. The entire control system runs on NI CompactRIO embedded system, and has been developed using NI LabVIEW and LabVIEW Real-Time Module.

netzer

A new important industrial partner of CYBERLEGs is Netzer Precision Motion Sensors Ltd., a company (based in Misgav, Israel), which designs, manufactures and supplies high quality performance position encoders. Netzer's product portfolio includes standard or customized Rotary absolute position encoders, with analog or digital outputs.

This revolutionary, non-contact technology, relies on interaction between the measured displacement, and a space/time modulated electric field. Offering a blend of features unequally by optical or magnetic encoders: durable, lightweight, contactless, high precision, wide temp. range. CYBERLEGs system will be equipped with Netzer's absolute encoders.
